Bahamas Training Camp - March 2026

Bahamas Training Camp 
March 15-27, 2026

We have looked into a ton of training camp ideas with the goal of staying out of the states, prioritizing long course training and keeping costs reasonable. We found a great option in the Bahamas with very good access to their 50m pool and flights/accomodation that were cheaper than our other options. Pool time is now booked, group flights are purchased and we found a VRBO that can accommodate our team. 

Initial Registration Deadline - Thursday, October 30
Will price out the camp for all registered swimmers at this time and any late registration may have more fees if it adds more costs to the camp. Also need to have an idea for numbers to finalize the trip. 

Training will consist of a combination of double and single long course workouts so that the swimmers can get a training boost when they are out of school over spring break. These boosts in training are incredible and have long term effects past the camp on what all attending swimmers will be able to accomplish in the weeks that follow. Chinook swimmers will be joining us on the trip. We will be training at the Betty-Kelly-Kenning Aquatic Centre. We have pool time booked each day from March 16-27. It is a great facility, Brad has experience there with a training camp 15 years ago. 

Group flights have been booked. 15 flights available for $1340/swimmer.

If we need additional flights they will most likely have an extra cost. It is important with international travel to have group flights and this was the best deal that we could find. Costs include a checked bag. 

Tentative costs are as follows: 
$1340 - flights
$440 - accommodation
$310 - coach
$160 - chaperone
$550 - food
$330 - pool
$290- transportation
$100 - extras (insurance)
$3520 - total
We will do what we can to keep costs down, including looking to train with another swim team to cut into the pool costs and add to the camp. 
Swimmers are welcome to travel to the camp with their families. You will be responsible for your own flights and accommodation. Swimmers traveling with their families will pay the coach and pool costs. 

Camp Payment Schedule 
Swimmers registering for training camp with the team will be responsible for the following costs: 
October 30 - $1000 initial payment - covers initial flight, pool time and accommodation deposit 
January 30 - $1500 second payment - covers rest of flight and accommodation costs
March 30 - $800-1200 remaining balance - after all costs are finalized
