More information once it is available, but based on last year all swimmers in Pursuit would be qualified and some swimmers in Typhoon will most likely qualify at our upcoming meets since they are close to the standards. Standards are around 12&under provincial standards for all age groups.
Safely qualified swimmers: Noah, Saige, Ashton, Stella, Brooke, George, Valentina, Burton, Rohin, Kinsey, Bodie, Bayden, Freddy, Rafael, Atria. The rest of Pursuit and most of Typhoon will depend on December results.
Full heats and finals - February 2-4.
For swimmers who are more certain about qualifying standards, flights are on sale this week. Brad is booked on the following flights:

Sunday, Feb 4 - Westjet177 - yeg-yvr 21:40-22:20
Swimmers will need to book their own flights. We are booked on westjet so that we can fly out on the Sunday night. The Monday morning options were just as expensive so I figure it is better to just head back and sleep in our own beds that night.
It is a fun meet with the top 4 after prelims racing in the Final Four in each event in Finals. The A Final is the next 10 swimmers, B Final the next 10 swimmers and the 200m and under Events also have a C Final. So lots of long course racing opportunities!
This meet is on our schedule to give more chances at racing long course. This will help set up swimmers for qualifying for Olympic Trials, Westerns and Provincials.
To register for the meet, please declare on our website and send flight information including reservation code to Brad. Registration deadline will be Monday, January 15.
We have rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn in downtown Edmonton which is a short drive from the pool. With small numbers we may just be sending the group with Brad (other clubs including Squamish will be at the same hotel). If any parents would like to travel with the team to help out they are more than welcome, just let Brad know. Breakfast is provided at the hotel and there are a lot of easy restaurants within a couple blocks of the hotel for lunch and dinner.
