Long Course Heats and Finals Meet for all swimmers in Pursuit, Typhoon and Monsoon! This is a great meet that we have attended in the past. Giving the swimmers the opportunity for a lot of second swims and a lot of races off the blocks! We are traveling for these meets since it gives much more for our swimmers than the heats and finals competitions in the lower mainland. Swimmers grow from these heats and finals situations. It is always great to race new swimmers and swim in new pools too! This meet is replacing the Killarney travel meet from last year in Calgary that was a successful team meet for us with the same great situation of heats and finals with lots of opportunity!
Swim Academy swimmers are able to enter the meet and get the experience of swimming long course! Entries will be based on ability - mostly 50m events and 100m Free/Back if strong enough. Swim Academy swimmers must travel with their parents.
This meet is the same weekend as Mel Zajac, qualified swimmers can choose what competition is best for them. This meet is highly recommended for anyone who will not be making finals at Mel Zajac.
With the distance of this meet, we will have a few travel options.
Team Travel - travel with the team, we will need a chaperone to help out but will have space for 8-12 swimmers to do team travel.
Traveling On Own - welcome to stay at our team hotel and book a room for your family (also let us know if you can drive any additional swimmers). Also fine to book own accommodation.
There is a lot going on in Kamloops this weekend. We have a team booking at the Wingate by Wyndham Kamloops hotel. We have rooms booked for Matt and team travel swimmers.
When signing up, please make sure to mention if your swimmer will be doing team travel or not and if you can drive any additional swimmers!

For full team travel - estimated costs:
$300 - hotel
$50 - transportation
$120 - coach
$130 - chaperone
$200 - food
$135 - meet fees
$935 - total
For traveling on your own you will be responsible for the meet fees and coach costs for the meet.
