MNP Community & Sport Centre - Calgary, AB
Team Travel Meet for all LMR qualified swimmers (Pursuit, Typhoon, Monsoon and any LMR qualified Swim Academy 2 swimmers). The meet is long course (50m pool) and offers our team a chance to travel all groups together for a great racing experience. May 2023 we traveled to a similar meet in Kelowna and had amazing results, the schedule didn't allow a team travel meet like this in 2024. We are very excited to have a fun team travel opportunity this year!
There will be three travel options:
Team Travel - swimmers travel with the team through the swim meet.
Family Joining Team Travel - Families are welcome to travel with the team, have their own room and join for team meals.
Family Traveling On Their Own - Attending the meet with own travel plans, welcome to join any team dinners.
Initial Sign Up Deadline - Tuesday, April 1, 2025
We have a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Calgary Downtown. Need to allocate rooms by this time. Swimmers joining after this deadline will incur any extra fees that are over what we have budgeted at the deadline (if we need an extra room/vehicle/etc to include them).
Litza Anderson will be our chaperone. Plan is to travel on Thursday, May 1 and return on Monday, May 5. Will plan a team activity on the Friday morning.
Families will be responsible for buying their own flights for swimmers and any adults traveling with the team. We have booked Litza and coaches on the following flights:
Thursday, May 1 - westjet 116 - 14:30-17:00
Monday, May 5 - westjet 113 - 12:00-12:35
There is plenty of space on both flights, after your swimmer is booked please let Brad know. Any swimmers that are traveling with their family are welcome to book similar flights. It is strongly suggested to arrive on Thursday so that swimmers have some time before they race on Friday afternoon.
