SwimBC Provincial Championships
March 2-5
Saanich Commonwealth Place, Victoria

Rooms booked at the Elk Lake Inn and Suites (used to be the Howard Johnson right next to the pool). Plan is to ferry over with CDSC and then get a bus from the ferry to the pool. Same idea home on Sunday for anyone in finals. Currently we only have 6 rooms which is enough for the swimmers and a chaperone. Meals will be through the hotel through the meet to make it easy on our timelines. Please let me know if you are interested in chaperoning which will include keeping track of the swimmers and helping them with snacks throughout the meet.

Team Travel last meet was just under $800. This included hotel, meals, snacks, bus to and from ferry.

Currently qualified swimmers: Henry, Noah, Tristan, Stella, Brooke, George, Valentina, Burton, Rohin, Bodie, Bayden, Freddy, Rafael

There is a relay each day of the meet. All swimmers should expect to be racing on relays.

MORE SPECIFIC INFORMATION:

Pre-Meet Training
We will have the following training schedule leading into the meet.
Monday - 6:15-7:30am (half hour sleep in!) and 3:15-6:30pm (easy dryland)
Tuesday - 1:45-3:30pm VAC or 3:45-5:15pm HCC
Wednesday - 6:15-7:30am
Swimmers should be planning to rest and get ahead on school work a week out of the meet to help maximize performance.

Provincials Schedule
Wednesday 2:30pm - meet at Ferry Terminal for the 3:00pm Tsawwassen Ferry to Swartz Bay
We will be sharing a bus from the ferry to the hotel with CDSC.
Thursday-Sunday Heats and Finals
Heats Warm-Ups on deck at 6:45 or 7:15am. races 8:30-1:30pm
Finals Warm-Ups on deck at 4:15pm (3:45pm Sunday), races 5:00-8:00pm (earlier Sunday)
Sunday bus will leave the pool at the end of finals to most likely catch the 9:00pm ferry back to Tsawwassen. Swimmers who are leaving earlier will be responsible for arranging their own rides and communicating with Brad.

Meet updates, session reports, meet package and live stream information will be found on SwimBC Competitions page for Provincials

Rooms booked at the Elk Lake Inn and Suites (used to be the Howard Johnson right next to the pool). This will help maximize rest time between heats and finals. Swimmers will be expected to cheer on teammates through finals each night.

Meals will be catered at the hotel for dinner, breakfast and lunch. Swimmers should plan to bring their most comforting swim meet snacks. Rob Smith will be our chaperone and will be able to pick up snacks/food as necessary throughout the weekend for swimmers.

Team Travel last year was just under $800. This included hotel, meals, snacks, bus to and from ferry.

Attending swimmers: Henry, Noah, Lincoln, Tristan, Stella, Brooke, George, Valentina, Burton, Rohin, Bodie, Bayden, Freddy, Rafael

There is a relay each day of the meet. All swimmers should expect to be racing on relays. Top eight relay teams in each age group will swim at night each day (hopefully our A teams in the 13-14 and 15-17 boys each day), Sunday relays are open so hopefully boys are swimming at night.
