We need at least 14 swimmers committed to go ahead with our planning. More details below.
After a lot of research, we have decided on our training camp location for Spring Break 2027! We will be training at the Best Centre in Mallorca - https://bestcentresports.com/sports/team-camps/. This will be our first camp where we have an all-inclusive set up that is walking distance to the pool! We will be staying at the Universal Hotel Romantica. Richmond and Chilliwack booked their camp during Spring Break 2026 with this set up and had amazing feedback from their experience.
Spring Break Training Camp is an incredible boost to swimmers training. We have access to long course training for two hours, twice most days we are there. The timing this year is great with the camp being set up before important meets in the spring - Trials in Victoria, Best of the West in Saskatoon and other long course opportunities for all of our swimmers.
Estimate Camp Costs - based on 16 swimmers
$1550 - accommodation in triple rooms and food
$415 - coach costs
$185 - chaperone costs
$1700 - flight
$100 - insurance
$3950 - plus any excursion costs
This is a very popular time for training camps and we need to put a down payment to reserve our pool time and accommodation. We will also be locking in flights as we have numbers finalized. The payment plan for the camp will be as follows.
Camp Payment Schedule
$1500 - July 2026 - initial numbers and down payments
$1500 - November 2026 - final numbers
$950 - March 2027 - final costs
